Where Learning Begins!

Always an Adventure!

Kindergarten Time!

In August 2015 we added a k/1 home school program and hired Ms.Wendy, a wonderful k-6 grade citified teacher.  We are using the Starfall curriculum for this program.

Farm to Table Garden Part Fundraiser!

Probably our absolute favorite fundraiser of all time! The children grew the garlic, tomatoes, herbs and veggies for the dinner.  They made homemade break with Ms.Jennifer and helped make birdhouses to auction off.  Chef Scott cooked the pasta primavera for us and it was delicious!!  A huge thank you to all who helped!

   Free Fresh Fridays!

We hosted a free summer program every Friday!  k-5th graders learned to garden, harvest & cook!  We played games, did art projects & STEM activities!  Thank you WVU & WVS Extension, Farm to School, WV Summer Foods Program and of course our amazing staff & volunteers!

Summertime means Farmers Market @ Linwood! - 2014

The children have made granola bars using local honey, bird feeders, and "stained glass" wildflower vases.  They are learning, math, science, and art while raising money for special activities!  Stop by our Linwood Little Chef's with Green thumb stand on Fridays from 3:30-4:30 at Linwood Community Library!

Birdhouse Auction
Our little artist painted wooden birdhouse and auctioned them off to cover the electrical bill at their daycare to keep cost down to parents and accommodate low income families. The project raised $585

Natural Learning Environment - 2014
We have a natural learning environment where the children explore the outdoors, and enjoy nature.

This spring we partnered with Grow Appalachia, WVU Extension, WV State Extension,WV Farm to School program, and our local Farmers Market to plant a variety of vegetables.  They are growing, lettuces, popcorn, peppers, watermelon, tomatoes, and several other yummy treats!
